State of the Project

The Mynydd Bedwellte Wind Farm is a proposed wind farm in Blaenau Gwent consisting of 8 turbines, with an installed capacity of 48 MW. It is classed as a Development of National Significance (DNS). For that reason, the planning application will be decided by Planning and Environment Decisions Wales (PEDW), on behalf of the Welsh Government.

Our planning application was submitted to PEDW in April 2026. Before submitting this application, we held our Pre-Application Consultation from 30 June to 11 August 2025. After this consultation, we refined our plans in response to feedback that we received from the local community and other stakeholders. Find out more about the project and about us.
