At EDP, we believe in sustainable renewable energy. We are committed to the communities that host our projects, like the Mynydd Bedwellte Wind Farm.
Our commitment, on the basis that this wind farm is consented and built, is to provide the local community with £5,000 per megawatt (MW) per year once the project is operational and for its working lifetime. At 48 MW, this community funding would be £240,000 per year.
As part of this commitment, we are inviting nominations from people and groups for any local cause or organisation in the areas around the Mynydd Bedwellte Wind Farm that could benefit from receiving some of this community support.
If you live or work locally, we want to hear your thoughts on how this community funding could deliver on your priorities for your community, so please tell us your ideas.
Wherever possible, we will also use local suppliers and contractors during construction and operation, and hire workers from the local population. Should you wish to register as a potential supplier for the project, please subscribe to our suppliers list here.
